Barrel Thrash Brandesburton in the Cup

Barrel Walkington came into this 2 round H E Dean cup game full of confidence, and straight from the whistle they pressed the home side with good quick passing that left Brandesburton camped in their own half for long periods .

It wasn’t till mid way through the first half that Barrel Walkington mad all that pressure pay off, when a cross from the left was headed home by the team Captain putting Walkington 1 nil up. The only good news for Brandesburton was it stayed at 1-0 till half time.

The second half played much like the first with the away side doing all the pressing, and it wasn’t long before Barrel Walkington increased their lead with not just one but two quick goals. Any slim chance the home side had of getting back into this game was now well out of reach.

In the end Barrel Walkington ended up scoring 6 goals away from home, this was a good team effort with Oli Burns, Ryan Martin, and Danny Moore getting on the score sheet, with the players man of the match award going to Mike Thompson.
