Browns of Beverley will be hosting a fashion show in September 2010.
The department store which opened in March of this year is hosting the night to help raise money for the Beverley Christmas Lights Appeal.
Prue Blake, Secretary of the Beverley Christmas Lights Appeal said;
“This event is being organised and arranged by Browns of Beverley and the Beverley Christmas Lights Appeal Group are delighted that they have decided that the proceeds of the evening are to go to the Lights Appeal.
“It is wonderful to know that such a prestigious shop is showing such an interest in enabling us to improve the lighting at Christmas which enhances the town and therefore makes Beverley an even better place to live, work and visit.
“The Christmas Lights Appeal Group work very hard throughout the year fundraising and this year substantial amounts have to be paid out due to health and safety requirements regarding the tree brackets and the electric boxes which the lights plug into.
“This event will go a long way to ensuring that the festive environment continues to be enhanced and helps to promote community involvement.”

“Tickets are selling well for the fashion show, we are pleased to be able to support this event and I am sure everyone will have a great evening.”
The fashion show is scheduled to take place on the 22nd September from 7.30pm, tickets for the event are on sale now from the accessories department priced just £10 which includes champagne and canapés.
