Beverley Town Trail Lectures

Two lectures promoting the new Trail are to be held at St Mary’s Parish Hall, North Bar Within, later this month.

Both lectures will have different themes, but each will give a unique insight into the medieval skills and industry that helped make the thriving market town it is today.

On Thursday 24 June, historian Geoff Bell will give a lecture revealing the medieval history of St Mary’s Church.

And on Tuesday 29 June, the historians and artists involved in planning and delivering the Town Trail will talk about how the idea evolved, how it has been created over the past eight years and what the Town Trail brings to people wanting to learn more about Beverley’s fascinating past. The talk is entitled The Making and Marvels of the Trail.

Both lectures start at 6pm, and the cost is £3 per lecture. No booking is necessary and there will be access and facilities provided for the disabled.
