Firm Fined £2,000 For Illegal Adverts For Beverley Christmas Event

A company has been fined £2,000 for illegally placing a number of signs on the roadside advertising a Christmas event in Beverley.

Cottage Industrys Ltd of Tokenspire Business Park, Woodmansey, represented by its director Paul Leonard, admitted placing 38 signs on the sides of major roads, junctions and roundabouts to promote a Mistletoe Fair at Beverley Racecourse, held last November.

Following the recent Platform event hosted at Bridlington Spa that saw over 100 young dancers take to the stage, East Riding Youth Dance is once again recruiting for young people to join the exciting community dance programme alongside the East Riding Youth Dance County Company.

The youth dance programme is a fantastic opportunity for young people from Year 5 and upwards to engage in 12 weeks of community dance. Participants will work closely with professional dance artists, providing a platform for those with little or no previous background in dance to have a fun, energetic and inspirational experience.

Humberside POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of three catalytic converters from a business premises on Tokenspire Business Park, Hull Road, Woodmansey. Thieves entered the premises of JRC Express between 1900hrs on Monday 31 October and 0245hrs on Tuesday 01 November 2011 and stole the catalytic converters from three Mercedes  Sprinter vans  which were parked securely outside a warehouse at the time.
