Patrick Nolan sadly passed away on 21 September 2019 at Hull Royal Infirmary aged 90 following a short illness.
He was a devoted brother to Moira. Loving father to Kay, Joy and Scott, grandfather to Anthony, Adam, Sean, Lewis, Laura and Suzi, great-grandfather to Dylan, Jasmine and Reuben.
Pat Nolan and his eldest daughter Kay Sutton celebrated their birthday’s together at the Beverley Arms Hotel.
Pat marked reaching the ripe old age of 90 while his daughter was celebrating her 60th. The pair were joined by friends and family who enjoyed a meal and drinks.
One of the stand-up tale tellers appearing at The East Yorkshire Theatre on Good Friday 14 April 2017 is having to tell his tale while seated in a mobility scooter.
This “new” performer at the theatre is Patrick Nolan, a local Romany character who lives in a supermarket car park and drives about the town in a electronic vehicle believed to have been a bumper-car in a traveling fair.
Regulars of the Royal Standard Pub this week celebrated Christmas with a get together. On the menu was that Northerners favourite, Pie, Peas & Gravy which was cooked up by local Deli Jacks & Son.

Recently I had the privilege of watching a craftsman at work. There are not all that many craftsmen about these days and the particular craft that I refer to is the manufacturing of jewellery. Shaun Atkinson is the Master of this ancient art, his father and grandfather were both Jewellers in Beverley and he has worked in the trade all his
