Local Runners Travel To Lisbon For Marathon

A small group of runners from Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Portugal last weekend to compete in the Lisbon Marathon. Known as the seaside marathon, the course starts in the Estadio 1o Maio and follows an undulating route through the beautiful city centre before dropping down steeply to the coast between 19 and 23 kilometres. Members of Beverley Athletic Club enjoyed a weekend in the Lake District for the 52nd Derwentwater 10 road race. A large contingent from Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Scarborough last Sunday to take part in the McCain Yorkshire Coast 10k and fun run.
