Beverley Chamber Music Festival To Welcome UK's Brightest Stars

The brightest stars of the UK’s classical music scene are preparing to visit Beverley for the 2019 Beverley Chamber Music Festival.

Running 25th – 28th September, the festival welcomes two former winners of BBC Young Musician of the Year, violinist Jennifer Pike and cellist Laura van der Heijden, as well as the renowned Brodsky Quartet, to join its Co-Artistic Directors, pianists Martin Roscoe and Libby Burgess.

There will be a rare opportunity to enjoy the world-famous Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on Sunday 9 July at 3pm at Bridlington Spa, where they will also be joined by the East Riding Youth Orchestra, playing a selection of classical music inspired by the sea.

This unique experience sees Bridlington Spa’s Royal Hall opened up to reveal stunning views across Bridlington Bay.

Successful Fund-Raising for the FERYO

The Friends of East Riding Youth Orchestras held two very successful fund-raising events in Beverley just before Christmas.  A total of £328 was collected during two hours of busking at the Tesco store on Saturday 18th December, and on Wednesday 22nd December a magnificent total of £1,594 was raised during an all day playing and bag-packing session at Morrisons.
