Ince Rose Bridge Stand Between Beverley And Back To Back Wins

Ince Rose Bridge is next up for the Blue & Golds as they look to make it back to back wins in the National Conference League.

Beverley will be hoping to pick up where they left off last when they saw off Barrow Island 41-22 at the Leisure Centre.

Scott Taylor and his side will head to Lancashire to face a side that has enjoyed a perfect start to the new season. Ince Rose Bridge has won both their opening two fixtures and currently sit top of the pile in Division Two.

Furthermore, Beverley’s opponents on Saturday are being tipped as one of the title favourites. Following their relegation, last season many they are favourites to make a speedy return to the top tier.

Taylor will again have to make some tough decisions. With a full complement of players to choose from.  Some players may be left disappointed when he names his final squad for this challenging match.

Beverley will go into the match also hopping an in-form Jack Howdle can pick up from where he left off. Last weekend he bagged himself a hat-trick while he also scored playing for Hull FC reserves during the week.

Any sort of result for Beverley on Saturday will help them continue to climb the league. Following their opening day defeat, Taylor’s side showed great character to get their first points of the season.

Beverley does, however, have a good away league record. Last year’s Division Three Champions have lost just two games on the road since February 2018.

Ince Rose Bridge have enjoyed mixed results at home winning just three times in last nine home games.

They have also scored fewer points than Beverley this season in their first two games. However, the hosts do boast a better defensive record conceding just 26 points.
