Beverley Town Football Club will travel to Pocklington this Saturday looking for three points and their sixth straight win.
Manager Rich Jagger says he is confident his side can get a result and keep the pressure on league leaders Chalk Lane.
Speaking ahead of the game Jagger said;
“This is not only a big for us but is also a big game for Pocklington Town.”
“We are on a good run at the moment and we aiming to keep that going and make it six wins in a row.”
“While we know Pocklington Town pose a real threat, we are full of confidence and have a full squad for the trip.”
Jagger will be missing just two players for the game. Dan McHale is still out due to suspension while Olly Baldwin will also be missing.
He does, however, welcome back a number of players including the forward Alex Stark.
Beverley Town Will Look To Keep Pressure On League Leaders
“We are fully expecting to face a much different Pocklington team on Saturday. When we played them last time they were missing some players.”
“That said we are not worrying too much about them, we are focusing on our game. If we play our own game then I am confident we can get all three points.”
Beverley’s recent run of form has seen them climb the table and are now level on points with the leaders.
A win on Saturday will keep them hot on heels of Chalk Lane who are currently top on goal difference.
While Chalk Lane has games in hand, Jagger’s side know they if they keep winning they could find themselves in with a real shot of winning the title.
Beverley will gain have a chance to be top of the league for Christmas. All they need to do is better Chalk Lane’s result who face Westella & Willerby.
