Kingston Panthers coach Jo Richardson has described her club as ‘what dreams are made of’ following their most recent round of fixtures.

Kingston Netball Club currently hold their training sessions at South Hunsley School, Melton but games are played all around the Hull and East Riding area including at Longcroft School.

Kingston Panthers U12s Netball team took to the court in Beverley at Longcroft Secondary School for their crucial match to qualify for their Regional Festival Tournament.

Kingston Panthers were ecstatic after a 32-8 win confirmed they too would be joining other teams from around the Yorkshire region to compete in the one day tournament.

Player of the Match went to a very deserving player WD Lauren Mcdermott who was fierce defence and made crucial interceptions resulting in the shooters hitting their target and increasing their lead.
A very proud coach, Jo Richardson said;

“This weekend is what dreams are made of. To think that 6 years ago when I walked into their training session to only 6 girls to today where we have over 170 Kingston members.”

“Five years of hard work, dedication and commitment from the coaching, the girls, volunteers and parents lead to weekends like this. Both Under 14s and Under 12s have faced very tough competition to get to this point and there is still a lot of hard work ahead of us.”

“However, the girls are very talented and both teams have a close bond of trust and dedication. Whatever happens I know that they will give me 100% when they step onto the court to face their next challenge.”

The Panthers had a heartfelt message for their dedicated coach, saying;

“We owe so much to Jo and each and every one of us want to thank her for getting us to where we are today. Without Jo’s support, determination, drive and patience we would not be as successful as we are. Jo sets high aspirations for us.”

“She strives to give us the best coaching and will guide us during every game. Our success is down to Jo and the team around Kingston. We wouldn’t want to play for any other team. We are one big Kingston family and we are always welcoming to new members who may want to join our squad.”

Jo added that anyone can join the Kingston family, she said;

“It does not matter whether you have played netball before or if you haven’t picked up a bib since you left school, if you are aged over 5 years old our door is open.”
