With the Beverley Festival of Christmas just days away people are being urged to plan ahead so they can the most of the event this weekend.
Cafe owners, shop keepers and local pubs will all be looking forward to what should be a bumper weekend of sales for them as visitors come to the town.
“The festival has a huge economic boost for Beverley, anticipated to be worth around £1 million.”

Visitor numbers for the event are expected of be in excess of 50,000 people as visitors from far and wide come to Beverley to enjoy the festivities.
While snow is forecast for the weekend in Beverley, this has not stopped the event taking place in the past. Some seven years ago in 2010 the local authority pulled out all the stops clearing the streets to safeguard the event.
Alongside the main event other points of interest include the Christmas Tree Festival that open to the public at Beverley Minster, while there are plenty of other in door activities should weather take a turn for the worst.
