Enjoy Your Favourite Sports In the Sun Shine At The Potting Shed

The Potting Shed say that sport lovers will are in for a treat this summer after installed a giant screen in their beer garden.

Measuring 3.5m x 1.5m, the screen is the largest non-cinema one in town and will be used to screen live sports and highlights throughout the year.

Potting Shed general manager Matthew Bordewijk says the bar was looking forward to launching a packed season of sport, he said;

“We have a lot of customers who love sports, especially football and rugby, and having the huge screen will allow us to put on events outside in the garden.”

“We expect it to be most popular at weekends for live football, but we’ll also be showing all the other major live sports too.”

“There’s so much coming up, and hopefully we’ll get some nice warm days and evenings to watch it all in – although our screen is an all-weather stadium-style one so it will be fine even if it rains.”

While football is popular the screen will be used to show other key sporting events live to customers at the venue, Mr. Bordewijk added;

“Once the football season is over, we’ll be looking ahead to Wimbledon in the first two weeks of July.”

“That’s one of those events that everyone likes to watch in the sun, so we expect the gardens to be full of tennis fans and we might even serve up some strawberries to create the full Wimbledon experience.”

Highlights in the coming week’s sports fans can look forward to include the FA Cup final that sees Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea go head to head

Taking place on 27 May at 5.30PM Arsene Wenger and his red and white dream machine will be hoping to clinch the FA Cup and stop their London rivals from winning the double.
