Beverley Racecourse Team Up With Challenge Cup Winners

Beverley Racecourse has teamed up with club for a week-long series of fun activities featuring an afternoon of racing and a big match at the KCOM stadium.

While the grown-ups enjoy an exciting afternoon of racing on Wednesday, May 31, younger fans can meet the squad, take a selfie with the Challenge Cup and try for a prize in Hull FC’s popular “Boot It” kicking competition.

Sally Iggulden, Chief Executive of Beverley Racecourse, said;

“We’re delighted to have teamed up with Hull FC for Spring Half Term. It feels a very natural partnership as both organisations are very family-orientated and work hard at being part of the local community.”

“Our afternoon race meeting on Wednesday, May 31, will be a really great family friendly day with lots of fun activities lined up.”

“We’ve also teamed up with celebrity chef Colin McGurran of Winteringham Fields, so diners can try his signature dish in our Attraction restaurant – making it a fabulous experience for all the family.”

Black and Whites’ star Scott Taylor who is also involved with local club the Beverley Braves ,said:

“There’s nothing better than a day at the races. The lads are looking forward to the raceday and meeting lots of our fans of all ages there.”

“It’s a big part of our role as players and a club and we’re always keen to get out and about in the community when we can.”

Hull FC will round off the Spring half-term break with a big match against Wigan Warriors, as the Challenge Cup holders face the Super League champions at the KCOM Stadium.

James Clark, Executive Director at Hull FC said;

“Our annual family game is always popular, and this half-term will be no exception, so to work with the team at Beverley Races to make this a full week of fun is a fantastic opportunity that hopefully we can round off with a win.”
