Beverley Folk Festival and Hull’s Atom Brewery are raising a toast to their new partnership that will see the event re-brand a number of their venues within the event.

Chairman of the Bevelrey Folk Festival, Matt Snowden says he was looking forward to working with Atom at this years festival.

Mr. Snowden said;

“Despite being only 3 years old, Atom Brewery have already established a mighty reputation for crafting a marvellous range of creative and innovative brews. We are looking forward to working with them and are sure their ale will be a huge success with festival-goers new and old.”

To mark this new partnership, the festival’s marquee that hosts the celebrated ‘Moonbeams’ sessions and the legendary ‘Late Night Festival Club’ will be renamed the ‘The Atom’.

Matt explained:

“Naming this marquee The Atom not only acknowledges this new partnership, but highlights the powerful, exciting and atmosphere of the venue.”

Area 2, organised by musician Sam Pirt, brings together new and exciting musicians from around the country and gives them the opportunity to showcase their talents, giving audiences the opportunity to spot the stars of tomorrow today.

Organised by Leila Cooper, the Moonbeams Sessions showcase musicians from the Yorkshire region and provides a taster for other festivals in the area that take place later in the year.

She also manages the Late Night Festival Club, which is a firm favourite amongst revellers who want to enjoy amazing music into the wee small hours, featuring some surprise guest appearances from artists booked to appear on the main stages.

Allan Rice, self-professed chief beer geek at Atom, said:

“We are delighted to be working with the Beverley Folk Festival and to bring our beers to a new audience.”

“The festival is a much-loved highlight of the local music scene and as part of Hull’s year as the City of Culture we can’t wait to raise a toast to our new partnership.”

Beverley Folk Festival is generously supported by through an ongoing Active Creative Grant.
