Bishop Burton Students Bring ‘Energy’ To Beverley Charity

Jane Stainforth from the has expressed her gratitude towards a group of students from Bishop Burton College.

, Amy Scutt, George Payne and David Marshall who are all studying Event Management approached the Beverley Community Lift about their plans.

Jane said;

“We have not been contacted before to do anything this by students so it was a nice surprise.”

“They had new and fresh ideas, which have involved so many parts of the community. It has been a real pleasure to work with them on this project.”

“All of the effort they put into putting this amazing event is really appreciated by all of us here at the Beverley Community Lift. It has engaged with lots of people and helped raise the profile of our work.”

“We are really grateful for what they have done, the energy they have is fantastic and the fun day has been a massive success.”

After holding a Market Stall in March the Family Fun Day held at Armstorngs Social Club featured local music groups, entertainment and a fashion show showcasing designs from fashion students at Bishop Burton College.

Support from local was very good with many donating gifts and other goods for the prize draw.

The students say that for them, the project presented a fantastic opportunity to organise an event for local charity.
