on in , will open in June. Yet, there is lots of work to be done and money to be raised.

The theatre director Vincent Regan and project manager have launched an appeal to local businesses and residents to become a part of the theatre’s success.

, project manager says:

“I would like to personally thank all of our sponsors.”

“At the moment we are running a campaign to sponsor a theatre seat. These are available for a one off cost of £100, it is hoped we will raise £20,000 from the seats campaign alone. The chairs will display the sponsor’s name on a plaque to show their support for the venture.”

Vincent Regan, actor and theatre director added:

“ERT is a professional theatre and not-for profit company, in the process of becoming a registered charity. With no public funding our initial costs to equip the theatre are reliant upon the generosity of our supporters, the list of which is growing all the time both locally and nationally.”

“Dame Judi Dench agreed last year to become the theatre’s Patron and locally we have many businesses that have already stepped forward with vital funds and, their own services to help us realise our theatre dreams in the summer.”

ERT has produced the list of costs and would be very grateful to anyone who wishes to become a friend or sponsor. The list includes:-

•Black – out/Soundproof material for windows £5000
•Lighting rig – £4000
•Ramp for ‘access for all’ to main door of building (at front) – £4000
•Lighting – £3000
•Box Office Fit – £3000
•Hearing loop – £2500-3000
•Gallery control box (sound/lighting) – £2500
•Joinery, handrail and raising floor on balcony – £1500
•Internal ramps to create wheelchair access through auditorium – £1000
•Fire-proof material and spray for theatre seats – £500
