Bridal Reloved, the brainchild of owner Kate Atkinson, selling once-worn wedding dresses at a fraction of the price they cost new.
“In these tough financial times, people want to spend less on their weddings”,said Kate. “A new dress can cost thousands. At Bridal Reloved brides can buy a dress that is as good as new for as little as £100- £200”.
Kate will also be selling dresses on behalf of their owners for a commission. “People often try to sell their dresses on internet auction sites but have great difficulty because brides don’t want to buy a dress unless they can try it on.
“Here at Bridal Reloved we have all the facilities you would expect in a bridal wear parlour – fitting rooms, personal attention and an alteration service provided by skilled seamstresses.”
“I just felt it was time to set up my own business and my research has shown there is a real gap in the market for reasonably priced high quality secondhand bridal wear,” said Kate.
In today’s launch shoot we had model Charlie Senior (of the Pink Elephant Agency), Charlie is currently Miss Hull Galaxy, make-up artist (MUA) Louise Shepherd, and hair by Sammy Chilcott. Both available for weddings and prom bookings.
Bridal Reloved will also be selling flower girl dresses and other accessories such as veils and tiaras. It is located in Grovehill Road, Beverley, next to Sainsbury’s.
