Groves Scores Century But Beverley Lose To Dunnington

A Peter Groves century was the highlight of a day that saw beaten by Dunnington as they lost by seven wickets at the Norwood Recreation Ground.

On pitch that was perfect for batting openers  and Peter Groves gave Beverley a great platform as they put on more than 100 runs.

Groves had a few close shaves, but with his parents watching battled through scoring the all-important runs that took him to his century.

After passing 100, Groves seemed to take more risks and was finally caught out on 105 after a failed sweep shot saw the ball present the wicket keeper the simplest of catches.
