Winter Wellness Hub pops up at North Point Shopping Centre this Half Term

A new pop-up Winter Wellness Hub is launching at North Point Shopping Centre from 27 to 29 October, offering free childhood flu vaccines, interactive health education, and winter wellness giveaways to help the local community stay healthy this winter.

Organised by NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) in partnership with Vaccinations UK, the hub invites everyone to “Say Boo to Flu” by learning more about staying well during winter and where to go if you need support or care.

A plaque commemorating the Hull Literary and Philosophical Society’s role in the cultural and educational history of the city over 200 years will be unveiled at the Museums Quarter this Thursday (9 October).

The plaque stands in front of three figures depicting Minerva in the Museums Quarter Gardens, that once stood on the pediment of the Royal Institution building in Albion Street, the home of the society from 1854 to 1943 and Hull’s Municipal Museum.

Sports’ governing bodies Join Humber and North Yorkshire UNITED to champion Mental Health

Yorkshire Cricket, the Rugby Football League (RFL) and the three Football Associations representing North Riding, East Riding and Lincolnshire, have formally joined the Humber and North Yorkshire UNITED collective, a pioneering initiative launched in April 2025 to unite sport in Humber and North Yorkshire around mental health, suicide prevention, and self-harm awareness.
