Reopening High Streets Safely Fund To Offer Interactive Support To Town Centre Businesses

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is offering free online business support workshops – delivered by retail specialists – for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in town centres across the East Riding.

The council has commissioned specialist consultants The Retail Group to provide business growth workshops, which will provide practical ideas and suggestions about how SMEs can adapt, evolve and improve their performances over the coming months.

Beverley to York Rail Link Proposal Turned Down By Government

Proposals to restore the Beverley to York rail link have been turned down by the Government.  MP Graham Stuart says he disappointed with the decision while adding he remains optimistic that the project has a future.

Back in June, the MP submitted a bid to restore the 32-mile length of track from Beverley to York to the Department for Transport’s Restoring Your Railway Fund.

Bus company East Yorkshire has bought eight state of the art, environmentally friendly new double-decker buses, costing £260,000 each, all of which have special racks to carry bikes on board.
