Climate protesters were outside County Hall as they looked to drive home their message to East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
Around 30 protesters, some affiliated to the group Extinction Rebellion were calling for the local authority to declare a climate emergency.
Green Party Candidate, Richard Howarth was arrested after he attempted to display a banner on the roof of Hull University.
Mr Howarth tried to unfurl his banner at the site during the filming on the BBC show Question Time on Thursday evening.
