East Riding of Yorkshire Council is hosting a number of recruitment events across the region showcasing the exciting opportunities on offer.
The events are hosted by various teams across the council, including people services, adult social care, leisure and adult learning and employability.
East Riding Leisure will be celebrating the festive season with a range of special offers for a limited time only.
They are offering six months for the price of five and 15 months for 12 – saving up to £33 and £99 respectively.
A state-of-the-art 3G Pitch has been officially opened by the Chairman of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Councillor Nigel Wilkinson, for East Riding Leisure Beverley.
The new 3G Pitch was made possible thanks to investment from the Premier League, The FA, Commuted Sums, East Riding of Yorkshire Council and the Government’s Football Foundation.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is looking to recruit new foster carers and supported lodgings providers, for children and young people, at a fostering event in Driffield next week.
Anyone interested in finding out more about becoming a foster family is invited to go along to an information event at Driffield Rugby Club, YO25 9DW (next to Driffield Show Ground), on Tuesday, 21 September, starting at 7pm, with refreshments available from 6.30pm.
The free compost giveaways run by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council are returning this month.
Eight giveaway events will be held across the area between Saturday 18 September and Friday 1 October, where around 5,000 bags of compost will be handed out for free to local residents.

Outdoor classes launched at East Riding Leisure Centres on 29 March have proved hugely popular – over 5,000 people have now taken part in the outdoor and online classes offered since that date.
If everything proceeds according to the government’s roadmap, East Riding Leisure is aiming to reintroduce indoor classes from Monday, 17 May, along with more leisure activities.
East Riding Council has announced details of the reopening of East Riding Libraries, Mobile Libraries, and its Customer Service Centres and Multi-Service Centres from Monday, 12 April, in line with the government’s roadmap.
East Riding Libraries will continue to offer the Order and Collect service at the door for those customers who prefer to use it, and will also be open for limited browsing (maximum of 30 minutes, which may be reduced at the busiest times).
All East Riding Leisure Centres will reopen on Monday 12th April.
Restrictions in place under the government’s roadmap will mean that programmes will be limited.
Spring is here, and East Riding Leisure is pleased to announce that, in line with Government guidelines and the roadmap, they are launching an outdoor class programme starting from w/c Monday, 29 March 2021.
East Riding Leisure is celebrating 1,000 subscribers to their YouTube channel.
