The Yorkshire division of national homebuilder, Bellway Homes says a recent flurry of sales at its Bishop’s Gate development in Beverley show the Minster town is still very much the place East Riding buyers want to call home.

Christmas came early to Elm Tree Court in Hull as children from Westside Day Nursery joined residents for a morning of festive activities.

In recognition of T Level Celebration Week, T Level Agriculture, Land Management and Production students from Bishop Burton College near Beverley and Riseholme College just outside Lincoln met in a purpose-built virtual classroom.
Both colleges have been using virtual reality as part of the curriculum for some time but this exciting event marked the first time T Level students from both campuses have had the opportunity to interact together in this way. Virtual reality is now a commonplace tool for supporting learning on technical and vocational qualifications at both colleges, enabling students to practice and develop skills in a controlled and safe situation.

This year’s Avenues Open Gardens saw over 50 gardens open in the HU5 area in aid of Dove House Hospice and other charities. East Riding of Yorkshire Council has obtained a full closure order on two properties in Bridlington following reports of drug dealing and antisocial behaviour.
The full closure orders were granted by Beverley magistrates on Friday 8 November against 55 Abbotts Way and 22 Harrington Road. The properties, a first floor flat and a terraced house, are owned and managed by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
