Mr Ahmed Abdulrahman of Scarborough Road, Filey, appeared at Beverley Magistrates Court on Wednesday 25 June and pleaded guilty to nine food safety and hygiene offences. Mr Abdulrahman was the former food business operator of Roma Kebab, a fast-food takeaway located in Flamborough which has since ceased trading.

Work to implement a new 20mph zone in Hull’s Old Town area, as part of the safety improvement scheme for Lowgate, has been given the greenlight to progress by Hull City Council.
The new 20mph zone aims to reduce the risk of accidents for all road users near Hull College and the retail and entertainment venues located between George Street and the A63 Castle Street. The zone will also cover Savile Street, Vernon Street, Queens Dock Avenue, Princes Dock Street, Guildhall Road, Alfred Gelder Street and the side streets off Lowgate that border the River Hull, which are home to a number of businesses that form part of the night-time economy.
