Meet Artist Susan Beaulah At Beverley Art Gallery

Susan Beaulah, the artist responsible for the current exhibition at Beverley Art Gallery in the Treasure House – ‘Red Earth and Blue Water : Studies of Indian Life’ – will be holding free ‘Meet The Artist’ days this Saturday, 29 July, from 1pm-4pm, and the following Saturday, 5 August, 1pm-4pm.

Beaulah has been painting and exhibiting regularly since the 1980s in watercolour and oil. In recent years, her works have been mainly produced in India– from Rajasthan in the north to Kerala in the south.

Walkington 10k – James Kraft Of Scarborough Posts New Course Record

Beverley Athletic Club hosted another successful Walkington 10k race, with a sold out field of 750 in the 10k and 150 in the fun run for the first time in the event’s history.

James Kraft of Scarborough AC was the overall winner posting a new record of 32 minutes 45 seconds over the undulating course.

Having visited the proposed site for the relocation of Hollym Water Treatment Works, Graham Stuart, Member of Parliament for Beverley & Holderness, and local East Riding Councillor Lyn Healing, have suggested that the new proposal will be fairer to local residents.

The present treatment works is 70 metres from the cliff face which is fast eroding and must move to a new location.
