Teaming Up for Families – Rugby League Fans Being Asked To Donate Food

Rugby league fans are being asked to donate food at collection points being set up at Hull FC and Hull KR’s matches, as part of a Teaming up for Families initiative.

Use of the Hull Food Bank has risen every year since it began in 2011, and in 2017/18 it gave out 5,096 parcels. 1,200 of these parcels went to children.

The Juice Bar offers advice on a range of substances, including steroids and a needle exchange, delivered as a part of the East Riding Partnership, which is run by the Alcohol and Drug Service and Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.

Hull Trains has revealed its new trains are on schedule to arrive in the UK later this year – which will see them become one of the “best rail operating companies in the UK.”

It comes as the firm revealed the fifth and final train in the new £60m fleet arrived in Europe for internal fitting ahead of schedule this week – having been built at Hitachi Rail’s manufacturing plant in Kasado, Japan. When they are launched, Hull Trains will have the youngest entire fleet in the country.
