A charity that provides memory boxes and compassionate support to families grieving the loss of a baby is to benefit from a charity lunch being organised by Women in Business Hull.
Held every other year, alternating with the Women of Achievement Awards, the charity lunch is a key date in the Women in Business calendar – and this year, the organisation is proud to support Abbie’s Fund as its chosen charity.
The opening game of the 25/26 season at Beaver Park the home of Beverley RUFC was a thriller, played out to the death, literally the last kick of the game, the visitors Yarnbury RUFC stealing back the spoils in what was a great afternoon at Beaver Park. Although the result didn’t quite go the way of the Beavers, the atmosphere, weather and rugby meant everyone left satisfied they’d had a great day out.

A couple with almost six decades of memories together have celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary at Overton House care home in Cottingham.

Invest East Yorkshire’s Business Support Services team has secured more than £500,000 of government funding through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and the Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF), to support local businesses with a range of grants.

Pensioners are targeted by a text message inviting them to make an application to claim the Winter Fuel Payment. The text contains a link to a fake website with an application form that requests personal information, including bank details.
