Bishop Burton College is proud to announce the outstanding achievements of its T Level students as they receive their highly anticipated results this week.   

The T Level in Health saw an impressive 100% pass rate for Health, with all students earning a Merit. Similarly, in the field of Education and Early Years, all 20 students excelled, achieving a 100% pass rate. Notably, the first-year cohort of Education and Early Years and Health students all successfully passed their inaugural year.

Beverley Art Gallery hosted celebrated British painter David Remfry MBE, whose work will be featured in a retrospective exhibition in 2025.

As a child, Remfry moved to Hull, where he studied art at Hull College of Art. In addition to college, he was also influenced by a local nightclub, Locarno’s, where he developed an appreciation for music, dance, and dancers.

Shocking Cat Cruelty Figures In Yorkshire Released By RSPCA

The RSPCA released heartbreaking statistics regarding cat cruelty complaints in Yorkshire as part of its Cancel Out Cruelty campaign. In all complaints in Yorkshire totalled 2,112 with 259 of those being made in East Yorkshire.

According to the RSPCA, almost 18,000 cat cruelty complaints were reported nationwide last year. There were 1,726 reports of intentional harm, which is roughly five a day. Compared to 2021, when there were 1,387, this is an increase of 25%.

East Yorkshire Buses has announced that the Moors Explorer ME1 service will return in summer 2023 with a brand-new route.

On Sundays and bank holidays until 28 August, the new route will travel from Hessle, Hull & Beverley to Pickering, Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley, with a stop at Flamingo Land Resort – so everyone can have a good time, whether they prefer a quiet walk in the Moors or a theme park and zoo.

During the temporary relocation, the usual appointment-only service will continue. While there will be no payment facilities available, customers can pay by phone, online, and at All Pay and Paypoint outlets.
