Weather Has Big Impact On Crowds At Lucky In Love

Beverley Racecourse will be feeling a little frustrated after the bad weather that saw a day driving rain having an impact on the number of people who ventured to the Westwood Course.

The Lucky in Love meeting which featured the Hilary Needler Trophy was not as well as attended but there was no question this was down elements and the not the event its self.

There were still plenty of happy faces knocking about, Shelly Bean who owns the Beverley Salon Rewind Hair & Beauty Lounge, was at the course after winning tickets through a competition held by Viking FM where she had to explain why she was unlucky in love!

Despite all of this there was however a number of brave folk that in typical British spirit put a brave face on and made the most of the evening and got into the spirit of things, and they were rewarded with an entertaining evening of Horse Racing.

The Racecourse will be hoping for a repeat of weather that blessed the Bank Holiday meeting earlier in the season for their next big event, A Very British Raceday that will feature the hugely popular Donkey Derby on June 8th.
