February sees the return of the ever popular Stage4Beverley winter music festival which has become a major event in the town’s calendar offering music, comedy, and spoken word events as well as a dance for those with plenty of energy to expel.

On Wednesday 17 December local developers Wayne Low and Richmond Properties pleaded guilty at Beverley Magistrates Court, to causing or permitting the wilful damage of a sycamore tree and unauthorised felling of a pear tree. Both trees were located in Etton Conservation Area.
A pear tree was completely removed, and a sycamore tree had damaging works undertaken to it which reduced its amenity value and negatively impacted upon the conservation area.

Following the resounding success of its debut earlier this year, ColliderFest is set to return to Hull city centre from Thursday 12 to Sunday 15 March 2026, promising an even more dynamic celebration of science, creativity, and culture.

Hull’s famous Fish Trail is the focus of a new exhibition at the Pier Street pop up called The Critical Fish Trail. 55 artists, writers and poets have each created new works inspired by Gordon Young’s much loved fish trail. A new fund has been launched for schools in the East Riding, to support coastal education.
The fund is designed to support schools delivering coastal fieldwork and related activities which contain an element of sustainable coastal management. The main approach in the East Riding is coastal transition, which is the planned and gradual movement of communities away from erosion risk in undefended locations.
