Bridlington Comic Con is back! The comic con beside the seaside returns once again with a mixture of guests, stalls, props, cosplay and of course comics!
First of all they have Bond Girl and Hammer Horror star, Madeline Smith. Madeline appeared with Horror legends Vincent Price in “Theatre of Blood” and Peter Cushing in “Vampire Lovers” Add to that list of career co-stars: Diana Dors, Frankie Howard, Eric Morcambe, The Two Ronnies and the Carry on Team in Carry on Matron and you have a genuine sparkling gem of British cinema.
Then of course there is Bond…..James Bond. Madeline has the official title of Roger Moore’s first Bond Girl. She appears in the post credit scenes of Moore’s first outing as 007 in the 1973 Bond classic, Live and Let Die
They are thrilled beyond time that Zoe Heriot herself, the futuristic companion of second Doctor, Patrick Troughton will be at the comic con by the sea. Alongside Patrick, and Frazer Hines as Jamie McCrimmon, this was one of the most loved TARDIS teams in Doctor Who history
We are also going to be asking Whose Line is it Anyway? to 90’s comedy star and prince of improvisation Mr Tony Slattery. As well as whose line is it anyway, Tony appeared in a number of TV shows and Films, and recently made the documentary, “What’s the matter with Tony Slattery” sharing his own struggles with mental health.
Tony will be joined by some of his improvisation friends for live comedy show as part of the days entertainment.
They will also be joined by actors, Clem So and Jon Campling. Clem has appeared in Bond, Marvel and DC films to name but a few, and Jon became globally famous as the Hogwart Express Stopping Death Eater in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Without comics there would be no comic cons, so we are thrilled to be joined by ten comic book artists and creatives. Not only will they be selling their comics and original art work, but also providing a number of free workshops to give anyone a taste of what it’s like to draw heroes and villains!
Your creations will also be encouraged with our famous cosplay competition. This year we are adding extra prize categories so more of you can enjoy entering the competition. So full home made Hulk Buster armour or your Pokémon PJ’s all are welcome to enter.
On top of all of this they have – board games, VR games, Stormtroopers, the odd Dalek, traders selling all kinds of merchandise, Q and As, autographs, Lego, creative zone and props recreating some of your favourite scenes including The Iron Throne and Wednesday Adams study!
