Housebuilder Bellway Homes has unveiled the first images of Bishop’s Gate development in Beverley, a 183-home scheme in the city.

Located off Long Lane in the town, the 11-hectare development will include a variety of homes including two-, three-, and four-bedrooms.

In the images released, you can see a selection of the types of houses that will be built there.

Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, said:

“Interest in Bishop’s Gate is enormous with hundreds of people from all over the county registering their interest in the development – and I’m sure this number will surge when people finally get a chance to see for themselves what the excitement is all about.”

As a housebuilder that was awarded five-star status by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for six consecutive years, Bishop’s Gate homes are designed and built to exacting high standards.

Customers with this rating are more likely to recommend a housebuilder to their friends or family if 90 per cent or more of them do so. A calendar year’s worth of new home buyer surveys is based on HBF’s ratings.

“Our reputation for building homes that buyers love is long established,” added Melanie. “And we don’t just stop there – we’re here to create homes and communities that people will love in an environment they’ll be proud to call home.”

During Bellway’s time in Beverley, the company plans to invest close to £3.5 million in infrastructure and leisure improvements. There is a contribution of £1.3million towards educational contributions, a contribution of £228k towards the construction of a footbridge over the Hull to Scarborough rail line, a contribution of £400k towards improvements to off-site roads, and a contribution of £1.4million toward recreational contributions.

The masterplan for the area in which Bellway will be built is extensive and includes the provision of new primary school places either within an extension of Keldmarsh primary school or provision for a new primary school on a later phase of the development of the wider site.

Between and Woodmansey Mile, two spine roads will be constructed, including new cycle routes and pedestrian paths.
