Hull City Council’s Card Will Be Designed By Primary School Pupils

Matt Jukes, Chief Executive of Hull City Council, and Council Leader, Councillor Mike Ross, invited primary school pupils to design the city council’s corporate e-Christmas card.

Councillor Mike Ross, Leader of Hull City Council said:

“Christmas is always an exciting time for our primary school pupils. The Christmas card design competition is a festive way for children in the city to use their creative talents and enjoy some festive fun!”

This year’s Christmas card theme is ‘Together at Christmas’. There may be friends singing Christmas songs, a family wearing festive jumpers, a Christmas tree decorated with colourful ornaments, or a nativity scene. The design could include a landmark or favourite place from Hull.

Colour pencils, paints, crayons, or coloured pencils can be used to create entries. All designs must be A4 in size and landscape but must be scanned at school and emailed with your child’s name, age, school and contact details to: @hullcc.gov.uk.

and businesses will receive Christmas wishes from the winning design. A gift voucher will also be awarded to the winning pupil and the two runners-up.

Students have until 9am on 30 November to submit their designs to their school.

On 6 December, the judges will make their decisions.
