During its next event, a digital forum will look at ways to maximize shrinking budgets, offer free pizza, and collect food for Hull food banks.

A Power Hour event at Social in Humber Street, Hull, on Friday 4 November will bring together influential speakers from the region’s digital community.

43 Clicks North, a performance marketing agency, conducts the Power Hour, which has steadily grown in numbers since it began in October 2021. By sharing ideas and creating a platform for the digital sector to grow, the event stimulates professional development.

Nearly 80 people attended the most recent event in August, including delegates from other digital agencies, digital marketing managers, eCommerce managers, and owners.

Becky Stead, Digital PR Strategist at 43 Clicks North, will speak about how to maximize the benefits of digital PR on a tight budget in the next session.

The firm’s Strategy Director, Andy Lowdon, will discuss how businesses and consumers can take advantage of Black Friday – the biggest shopping day of the year – and its digital offspring, Cyber Monday.

Also on the line-up is Bethan Vincent, founder of the York-based agency Open Velocity, a specialist in marketing support for start-ups and established tech companies.

43 Clicks North Community Manager Rhys Peachey said:

“We have expanded our audience and it’s no longer just about the digital marketing industry.

“We are getting business owners and people from within business who want to learn more about digital marketing opportunities. The feedback from every event has been really positive.

“We picked the cost of living theme this time because it’s so dominant but at the same time it doesn’t seem to be getting the attention you might expect in the world of marketing.”

Free food will be provided by Stretch Pizza, who will preview some of the dishes they will launch during November and December at Paragon Arcade, where they hope to open a permanent site early in 2023.

As part of the event, 43 Clicks North Client Strategist Beth Fell will be collecting donations for Hull Food Bank, which has branches across the city.

Beth said:

“I’ve partnered with multiple businesses across the Humber region to collect donations for Hull’s Food Bank for some years now and I’m pleased to welcome 43 Clicks North and the Power Hour events on board to continue to drive this support.

“Food banks face a difficult time with the cost of living crisis, and demand for services is increasing at a time when it is more difficult for people to make donations. Hopefully, the people attending Power Hour will be able to bring some items along to the event.”

From 1 to 3 pm, Social will host the Power Hour at Humber Street, Hull. It is requested that guests arrive by 12.45pm.
