In a bid to bring state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly buses to and the wider community, local bus operator East Yorkshire has welcomed eight new vehicles to its fleet.

Additionally, a double-decker coach and a traditional single-decker coach will join East Yorkshire’s main fleet as part of the addition.

In addition to Wi-Fi, USB charging slots, next-stop announcements, and luxury interiors, the new service buses come with state-of-the-art .

The new additions from East Yorkshire Coaches will also feature luxury interiors and WiFi, allowing customers to travel around the UK comfortably.

Compared to Euro V engines, new Euro VI engines produce 95% fewer nitrogen oxides than the older Euro V engines, improving the environmental impact significantly.

The Chief Engineer for East Yorkshire, Robert Gibson, said:

“We’re very pleased to see the introduction of eight new vehicles to our fleet. As a public transport company, we’re already helping the environment by reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality and upgrading these buses will assist us in reaching our ambitious goals, as well as helping make the environment a little cleaner, and a little greener.”

Stuart Fillingham, East Yorkshire’s Head of Commercial, also commented: 

“Here at East Yorkshire, we’re committed to operating our services in a way that puts them at the heart of the communities they serve, so it was important to us to make sure any new additions to our fleet have everything our customers want.”

“Now, passengers can make the most of the time they spend on the bus, whether that’s answering emails whilst their phone charges, or simply sitting back in comfort and enjoying the view.”
