Customers Can Now Pick Up At Hull-Based Green Cleaners

Bio-D, a green cleaning company based in Hull, has opened a Pickup Point where orders can be picked up within two hours of being placed online.

Free pick-up will be available from Bio-D’s fulfilment site near Clough Road to both customers and businesses.

Bio-D’s new service will further reduce its environmental impact by reducing carbon emissions from delivering orders to Hull and East Riding.

Lloyd Atkin, managing director at Bio-D, said:

“Sustainability is behind everything we do here at Bio-D, from the suppliers we use, to how the factory is powered and the ingredients that go into our products. That’s why creating our Pick up Point for local Bio-D customers is a natural addition to the business.

“With a long-term objective of becoming net zero, we are putting in every effort to minimise our carbon emissions. However, for the emissions that we can’t avoid we make sure to invest in schemes around the world to remove the same amount from the atmosphere to balance the scales.”

In addition to serving as a pickup point, Bio-D’s Pickup Point will also serve as a return point for its 20-liter containers, which are cleaned, refilled and reused as part of the company’s closed-loop laundry system. It is necessary for all containers to be capped and in good condition, with their product labels still attached.
