As the national labour shortage threatens supplies of its poultry, a Driffield poultry business has injected some fun into its fleet of vehicles.
Soanes Poultry’s latest vehicle, a refrigerated Vauxhall Combo is fondly known as the ‘vanbassador’ took to the road last week after being expertly wrapped by Scarborough signwriting business, Don French Signs.
Soanes Poultry’s Brand Ambassador and Customer Service Co-Ordinator, Simon Dodd, is enjoying the reaction from customers and other road users to his customised van: “It’s fun, eye-catching and it makes people smile.
“We wanted a vehicle that helped to spread the word about our Yorkshire provenance and award-winning quality and we’re really pleased with the result.
“Part of my job involves supporting existing customers and building new relationships and the van is certainly an ice breaker in that respect!”
The van graphics were designed by Huddersfield designer, Penny Wilson Design using elements of the brand identity that feature on Soanes Poultry’s packaging.
Soanes Poultry is an award-winning family-owned business that has been rearing and preparing chicken since 1947. It sells chicken to butchers and independent retailers in Yorkshire and to wholesalers nationwide.
