The will entertain Heworth this Saturday kicking off at 2.30pm at the Leisure Centre.

The York outfit, although in Division 3 pre-lockdown making them the lowest-ranked team in Group G, are still expected to provide a stern test.

Heworth appears to be a club on the rise, coming to town fresh from a 38-4 win against .

Founder members of the NCL back in 1986, they dropped out of it, rebuilt in the Yorkshire League before re-entering the NCL in 2019.

Ahead of the fixture, commented;

“I am aware of the ambitions of Heworth but I am not phased by it. Last week against Acorn, we again defended well but we were not smart enough with the ball in hand.”

“This week in training we have worked on our last play options. Our kicks towards the full-back and wingers need to be more effective. We also need to up our completion rates to around 85%. Although we defended well against Acorn we had to do too much defending.”

On the team news front, there will be a couple of precautionary changes.

and Alex Calvert took minor knocks last week and will get the week off. Sam Coleman and Francis Coggle are expected to step up to the plate.
