The Kings Head Hotel in Beverley are backing the charity, Street Angels who help keep people in the town enjoy their night out safely.

From this month through to the end of March, the town centre venue will be donating 50p from all burger sales to Beverley’s Street Angels.

Speaking about the gesture, Lucy Munns, the Events Co-Coordinator at the Kings Head Beverley said;

“One of the members of our team thought it would be a good idea to support a charity ongoing, and Street Angels was the chosen charity.”

“Street Angels do a lot good work in the community that is valued by a lot of people in the town, especially those who enjoy a night out.”

“We looked at a number of charities and picked Street Angels as we feel it is most relevant to us as a as they promote safety throughout the community which is something we at the Kings Head do as well.”

Lucy along with Claire Martin from the Queens Head chair the regular Pub Watch Meetings. Those meetings are regularly attended by the Street Angels.

Lucy added;

“All the venues in Beverley really value their work. Street Angels keep people safe beyond the realms of our businesses.”

“As a charity they have given presentations outlining their work and have shown us the types of things they do. These include carrying water and flip-flops.”

“Street Angels have also supplied all the members of Pub Watch with information, which details their work and more importantly what we can do as responsible venues to assist them in their work.”

Running for the next two months, the Kings Head Hotel hopes to raise a good amount of money for the Street Angels.

To support this incentive all you need to do is pop into the Kings Head and purchase any burger off their comprehensive menu between now and the end of March.
