Still Time To Sign Up For Dove House Midnight Walk Round Beverley

Ladies in Beverley and the local area still have time to sign up for the Dive House Midnight walk around Beverley.

Taking place this Saturday the event gets underway at Beverley Racecourse at 8PM with the actual walk beginning at 11PM.

Fundraising co-ordinantor at Dove House Hospice, Anita Brien said;

“We are inviting Ladies to Join Dove House Hospice for a birthday party to remember as we celebrate our 10th ladies-only Midnight Walk as well as the 25th anniversary of the official opening of our inpatient unit at the hospice on Chamberlain Road, Hull.”

“With party games, and if the weather permits, bouncy castles, face painting, a disco and more, this is one event not to be missed.”

“The party will start at Beverley Racecourse at 8PM and after a warm up at 10.30, the walk will start at 11PM and will embark on an 10K walk across The Westwood, around Beverley and underneath the iconic floodlit Beverley Minster.”

“Registration is £15 and we ask that you pledge to raise a minimum of £20 in sponsorship.”

“All walkers will receive a sponsorship pack and a t-shirt as well as a medal on completion. Refreshments will be available throughout the walk.”

“We welcome women and girls of all ages, but under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.”

While men are not permitted to take part in this event, they are welcome to sign up as volunteers to help at the walk.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are also welcome to enjoy the walk – but organisers would like to remind those taking part that the walk 10K and in the dark.

Those taking part are being encouraged to celebrate their loved ones at the Midnight Walk by decorating their t-shirt with their name, photos and memories.
