It Was A Good Win For Us Says Beavers Coach

Beverley RUFC first team coach said it was a very good win for his side following their 47 – 7 demolition of Ribblesdale at Beaver Park.

The Beavers who have enjoyed a fantastic start to their season eased to their fourth win in five games as the green army marches on in their quest to win promotion.

Speaking after the match manager said;

“It was a very good win. For the first time this season we were given the favourite tag; we handled the pressure well and defended magnificently. When we moved the ball to space we were outstanding, but again it was all built on some quality defence which was down to hard work and communication. “

Turnbull paid tribute to the younger players, who through the training set up at the club is helping develop them into senior first team players, Turnbull said;

“We have had a few knocks and unavailabilities but the strength in depth is starting to increase and this is down to training numbers. We had 39 on Thursday and we don’t included the colts in that number who are integrated into our Thursday session. This makes the transition easier between the squads and it was nice for Niall Carruthers, who has trained well all pre-season to get his opportunity.”

“But we enjoyed ourselves last night with two big wins for the club at a senior level,  and we move onto next weeks challenge; Old Brodleians away which has a very uneven surface and will be a massive battle, one which if we apply ourselves, we can definitely give a great performance.”

Man of the match was given to William Webster who scored a hat trick of tries though the boss gave special mentions to Danny Morris and saying ‘they had quality games’.
