Canine Partners Voted Winners of Society’s Charity of the Month

Canine Partners has been voted Beverley Building Society’s charity of the month for July by its members. The charity will receive £250 donation on behalf of the Society.

Since 2012 Beverley Building Society has continued to run its Charity of the Month campaign, in which the members of the Society are able to vote for three local charities, the winner to receive a £250 donation on behalf of the Society.

Canine Partners has been voted winner for the campaign for August 2016.

Beverley Building Society’s Marketing Manager Zoe Fisher said:

“Canine Partners is a brilliant charity that our members have taken part in choosing to donate to. It is a great charity that helps in aiding those individuals who need help in their day to day life, and who better to help them than man’s best friend.”

Pam, who came into the Society with her Canine Partner Alucia, expressed that, saying;

“Alucia has made an outstanding difference to my life, she gives me laughter, love and independence”, she also stated that every donation made helps to change someone’s life.”

Canine Partners is a charity which began in 1990 which is dedicated to placing their trained dogs with people who have disabilities across the whole of the UK. Some of the disabilities Canine Partners help include; muscular dystrophy, spinal injuries, cerebral palsy and stroke.

The donation received will go towards the selecting and training of the puppies as well as assessing the many applicants to find a suitable place for each dog.
