Whitestar Need Extra Time But Reach Cup Final

Beverley Whitestar have booked their place in the cup final after they came through a tough semi final against North Ferriby.

A clean sheet for the Whitestar’s keeper went a long way to helping his side stay in the game which required extra time to settle the contest.

Whitestar finally got the win by scoring twice in extra time, Will Page and George Block both finding the back of the net.

Whitestar manager Craig Darley commented after the game;

“This was a great result for us against a very strong team. Ferriby are both technically good and also physically tough and our lads dug in well.”

“As a side this result shows just how we have improved against the sides that are physically stronger than us.”

“For me personally I am delighted as since taking over as manager I have never clocked up a win against North Ferriby, they are a quality side.”
