Help Keep It Local By Supporting Local Produce Market In Beverley

The next local produce monthly market in Beverley will be held on Wednesday 16 September, from 9am to 3pm, in the Wednesday Market area of the town.

There will be 21 food and drink stalls, which will include: liqueurs from Raisthorpe Manor; fresh teas and accessories from The Tea Experience; fresh pork from Redhill Farm; fruit wines from Fabulously Fruity wines; cakes and desserts from Blondes; macaroons from Patrick’s Macarons; bread and fruit juices from Side Oven Bakery; and chutneys and jams from Blueberry Hill Preserves.

Town Clerk, Helen Watson said: “The variety and choice of delicious local produce on offer at this market shows what a great area we live in. There’s something to tempt every tastebud, so come along, try some samples and take home something different to eat and enjoy. You’ll be helping to support your local high street and some fabulous local growers and producers too.”

The market is free to attend. It’s the last in a series of six monthly local produce markets to be held in Beverley between April and September this year, as a pilot project to test its viability and sustainability long-term. Organisers, Beverley Town Council, are asking people to come along and support the local producers and keep the market going.

The Mayor of Beverley, Cllr Peter Astell said;

“These markets have been really popular with residents and visitors to the town. We have been able to enjoy some wonderful, and more importantly, locally produced food and drink. Please come and show your support on 16th September and help keep our high streets alive.”

The local produce monthly markets are being organised by Beverley Town Council, with support from the East Riding of Yorkshire’s High Street Fund, in a bid to regenerate the Wednesday Market area of the town.
