Tickton Cobras and Beverley Whitestar went head to head at Longcroft School this weekend as the sides got their pre season under way.

AFC Tickton manager Lewis Jenkinson said;

“They were evenly matched teams and both sides played out two very good games of football, brilliant individual pieces of skill and cracking goals on show.”

“Both sets of players played with smiles on faces and tried their hardest in very warm conditions. A great exhibition of how football should be played with coaches just letting the children play and try new things on the pitch. Good day had by all.”

“We’ve only been playing one year however the improvement and enjoyment is there for all to see. The children come up with new idea’s all the time and its great giving them that environment for them to flourish.”

“As always they never cease to amaze the onlookers and leave me a very happy coach.”

Ahead of the game players from AFC Tickton received new tracksuits thanks to a new sponsorship agreement. Commenting on the deal Jenkinson said;

“On behalf of myself and the players I would like to say a huge thank you to Will from OBI property for his generosity in sponsoring the teams new tracksuits.”

“It’s truly fantastic that he’s remembered his roots of been a Beverley lad and given something back that will make all involved feel special, not only do they look great on the pitch but they certainly look great off it now.”
