Beverley Town Cricket Club second team will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s draw with Malton & Old Malton this weekend.
Last Saturday Beverley drew with Malton who claimed the lion share of the points up for grabs thus moving above Beverley in the league.
Batting first the visitors set Beverley formidable score of 275 runs from their 48 overs. Despite having such a high score Malton were unable to dismiss Beverley who posted a score of 157/6 in reply.
Beverley’s hopes of finishing in the top four took a serious dent with this result as they claimed just six points from the result.
This Saturday Beverley will hit the road as they take on Folkton & Foxtin, the side who are currently just one place below them in the table.
With just five points separating the sides it is imperative that Beverley get some sort of result to prevent themselves for dropping further places in the League.
