Beverley Real Ale Festival : A New Beer For Beverley!

Beverley Food Festival and the Beverley Real Ale Festival will again join forces for the third consecutive year.

To celebrate this mouth watering combination festival organisors have yet again teamed up with local favorites and Andrew Jones Pies to offer local people a rather tasty opportunity.

Festival organisers have announced that this year there will be a competition to name and create this year’s official ale & food festival beer.

In addition to this beer being center stage for the weekend’s festivities, Andrew Jones Pies will also be using the winning beer to help create this year’s much loved festival pie.

“We are really excited about launching this years festival on the back of such a fantastic competition. We have talked for many years about offering this as an opportunity to local beer lovers.”

“At most of the festivals we run people love to get involved and talk about the styles and tastes they enjoy so now people have the chance to really make those opinions count.”

“The competition is open to all; whether you see your self as a beer expert or just enjoy a pint and are more into the marketing side we need a beer that celebrates a beautiful combination of the best of Beverley, Food and Beer.”

Entries will be marked on a range of criteria including the suggested beer name, style, salability and suggested recipe, also ideas for the pump clip design.

Matthew from Great Newsome Brewery added;

“As a local business that has had a long association with both the Beverley Food Festival and the Beverley Real Ale and Cider Festival, we are very excited in giving someone the opportunity to work with us on brewing a unique festival ale.”

“An imaginative name and a creative beer style is what we are looking for and I will be looking forward to welcoming the winner to the brewery to help brew it.”

The beer and food theme this year will resonate throughout this years Beverley Real Ale Festival. In addition to the winning festival pie the Beverley Real Ale Festival’s 2015 main sponsor Andrew Jones Pies will have more of their fantastic range of pies available for punters to buy whilst trying the ales and cider.

“We are delighted to be involved with the Beverley Real Ale Festival for the second year running. Last year was a huge success and we have some exciting new Pies to showcase at this years event.”

Helen Watson, Town Clerk of said;

“Beverley Town Council is delighted to be working with the Beverley Real Ale Festival again. We are very excited about the 10th Beverley Food Festival, which celebrates and showcases the best food and drink our locality has to offer.”

“We have fantastic support from local chefs who will be appearing in the Food Theater on the 4th October. We hope that residents and visitors will come along and enjoy the 10th anniversary of the Food Festival.”

The Beverley Real Ale festival organised by local company Ale Festival Uk, has become widely recognised as a top regional festival. Moved to the Memorial hall in 2013 the festival will again be held in the newly refurbished venue, which provides a perfect base for the ever-popular real ale and cider festival.

The successful move to link the Beverley Real Ale Festival to the same weekend as the Beverley Food Festival has been a huge success and provided the town with a weekend destination event, which has been great for local .

The Beverley Real ale Festival takes place from the 2nd to the 4th of October and the Beverley Food Festival takes place on the 4th of October.

With the Friday night expected to sellout fast organisers are urging punters to get the date in their diary and get tickets booked to avoid disappointment.

Tickets are now on sale for the Beverley Real Ale Festival, they can be purchased from the website now and will soon be available from the Beverley Tourist Information Centre and Beer In a bottle.
