MP Welcomes News That Molescroft Surgery Will Remain Open

NHS England have announced that Dr Clayton’s contract will be taken over by the Yorkshire Health Partners. Dr Clayton will remain part of the GP team at the surgery.

Graham Stuart, Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness, welcomed news yesterday evening that the Molescroft GP Surgery will stay open, commenting on the news he said;

Graham said:

“I am happy for patients that after weeks of uncertainty this issue has now been resolved. This good news will come as a relief to those anxious about the future of their local GP practice.”

“I spoke to NHS England yesterday afternoon and raised the concerns of local residents. I challenged them to get a deal in place as soon as possible so that patients could have peace of mind.”

“NHS England should have been clearer and more transparent in their communication with patients from the beginning. Elderly, vulnerable patients need to know that their care is in safe hands. I wish all parties involved had taken steps earlier to sort out the situation before it had got to this stage.”
