Free Energy Sector Seminar For Smaller Businesses

Small and medium-sized businesses are invited to a free breakfast seminar in to help them benefit from the Humber energy boom.

Taking place at Driffield Rugby Club from 8.30am to 10am on Thursday February 12 the seminar is aimed particularly at businesses in Beverley, Driffield and Bridlington and the surrounding rural areas.

The aim is to highlight to smaller companies that the benefits of the developments in the energy sector around the Humber, such as those by Siemens and Able UK, will not be limited to big .

Entitled “The Humber Energy Boom: What It Means For You”, the seminar has been organised by the Energy Technology Centre (ETC), which is part of East Riding College and part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

ETC manager said: “The massive investment we are now seeing in in the Humber will benefit business across the region, not just in Hull and on the south bank.

“This seminar is an opportunity to find out how small and medium-sized companies in the East Riding and North Yorkshire can get involved with this predicted growth.”

Speakers include:

• Jonathan Isaac, director of Comtec
• Sam Pick, business development director of Renewables Network
• Tamara Hall, managing director of Molescroft Farms
• Richard Webster, manager of the Energy Technology Centre

The ETC works with businesses to provide them with energy and environmental efficiencies and accreditation’s that are cost effective.

Through its networks and information-sharing, it also aims to help companies get access to opportunities within the rapidly growing Humber energy sector.
