With the Food Festival just hours away local traders on Ladygate are gearing up to deal with the thousands of people expected to attend its event.

Now in its ninth year the Beverley Food Festival is one of the biggest crowd pullers to the Market Town giving the local economy a real boost.

Mark McMullen from the is getting ready for what he hopes will be an influx of customers, speaking to Hu17.net Mark said;

“The Beverley Food Festival is an important date on the Town’s calendar. We will be open all day serving food and drinks.”

“As its the Food Festival will we have six sausages on offer that have been supplied by Carling Family Butchers in Beverley.”

“On the bar we have new selection of real ales, Ghost Ship, First Cut and Havercake Ale to name a few, it’s a but of mini real ale festival, if you like your beer you will love it!”

“If you just want to pop in and put your feet up we will be glad to see you, you do not have to have a drink you can also enjoy a coffee.”

Just a few doors down Beer in Bottle while next door to them, The Bread Shed run local baker Liz Parkin is also opening on Sunday, Liz said;

“I am really looking forward to the Beverley Food Festival. I will have a selection of breads and buns all of which will be freshly baked on Sunday Morning.”

“I know Ladygate is tucked away but with myself and other businesses along the street we have a mini food festival going on.”

The Beverley Food Festival starts at 10am running through till 4pm, a free event there will be lots to do for all the family and demonstrations by top local chefs and 110 stalls packed full of delicious treats.

Cllr McGrath said:

“Beverley Town Council would like to welcome residents and visitors to come to the town on Sunday 5th October and enjoy the Beverley Food Festival.”
